History

PC&D currently has clients nationwide. These clients’ businesses range from Senior Independent Living to Memory Care, to Assisted Living, to Skilled Nursing Facilities. PC&D has provided engineering, and physical plant consulting for these clients on a wide range of services. These services range from QA inspections to capital budget estimating to project management. PC&D has acted as "Agent for Owner" on some large-scale projects amounting to millions of dollars yet also works with these same clients on smaller capital items and vendor selection to help ensure aggressive pricing at all levels of Plant Management. PC&D also provides input on buildings and capital needs at the time of purchase. The oversight of a major building component can be costly if not identified and quantified at the time of purchase.

Prior to starting PC&D Mitch held the role of VP of Physical Plant with one of the largest nursing home chains in America, for 11 years. In this role, he oversaw the daily plant operations, capital budgeting, life safety inspections, and code compliance of over 70 facilities totaling over 3 million square feet of properties located across the eastern United States.

Mitch was also CEO of a construction company that specialized in the construction and renovation of nursing homes. This construction company was created by Mitch and grew into a full design-build firm. At the peak of operations in 2011 Mitch employed over 85 team members, which included numerous skilled trades as well as architects and engineers on staff. Mitch was able to operate this design-build firm and offer high-quality construction in a timely and affordable manner, like few others in the industry.

Mitch was also CEO of a furniture company. This company was created by Mitch with an idea that manufacturing could still be done in America with a blend of technology and low overhead. At the peak of operations, his furniture company was producing over 100 units per week, validating the belief that birthed it all.

Mitch and his career have been recognized previously. Mitch was named to The 40 under 40 by Louisville's Business First magazine. This award recognizes the City of Louisville's top 40 business leaders under the age of 40. Mitch was also awarded the Employee of the Year Award in a company of over 7,000 employees.

Mitch is licensed in HVAC, and Universal refrigeration as well as a Master Electrician also holding his Electrical Contractors License and has worked as the General Contractor on numerous projects. Mitch is active in the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) to stay current on all code issues.

Lastly, in 2007, Mitch obtained an Executive MBA with a specialization in health policy from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL campus.
